Industry Growth Analysis (IGA)
In July 2004 WPCOG GIS/Data Center in association with the Western Piedmont Workforce Development Board completed an Industry Growth Analysis for the Greater Hickory Metro area. The report identifies industries paying above the average regional wage and expected to grow in the next 10 years. It also matches community college and university programs with the prospective growth industries. GIS/Data Center staff has also conducted industry growth analysis for other parts of western North Carolina.
