Global Positioning Systems (GPS)
WPCOG offers GPS Data Collection using a handheld GeoXT Trimple GPS unit. The GPS unit is capable of collecting sub-meter quality data for applications such as water, sewer, stormwater, sidewalk, sign, and electrical utilities. WPCOG is currently working with Hickory, Maiden, Morganton, Newton, and Valdese in collecting city wide infrastructure using sub-meter GPS equipment.
