Announcing Project CARE (Caregiver Alternatives for Running on Empty)

We are happy to announce that Project CARE (Caregiver Alternatives for Running on Empty) is up and running. Our Project CARE Family Consultant is now in place to assist caregivers who are providing care to people who have dementia or Alzheimer’s related cognitive issues. We have support and financial assistance available for caregivers who reside in the following counties: Ashe, Alexander, Alleghany, Avery, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Mitchell, Watauga, Wilkes and Yancey. If you need assistance while providing care for someone with dementia, or know someone who does, please call our office at 828-322-9191 or email karen.phoenix@wpcog.org and ask for assistance with Project CARE.​
